You’ll need an Android device and access to a Jellyfin server with your own music library.

Testing opens soon. You can join the group now. Installation will be available after the Google Play closed test is published.

  1. Join the Google Group

    Choose Join group using the same Google account you use in the Play Store. Already a member? Go to step 2.

  2. Join the test & install

    Once testing opens, select Become a tester on Google Play, then follow its download link to install Shrimphony.

When testing starts, please stay opted in for at least 14 consecutive days and try playback, queues, and offline downloads. Send feedback to support@shrimphony.app.

If Google Play says you don’t have access after testing opens, check that you joined the group and are using the same Google account in your browser and Play Store, then try again later.

What is Shrimphony?

Shrimphony is a Jellyfin music streaming app for iOS and Android. It lets you browse, search, queue, stream, favorite, and download music from your own Jellyfin library.

Do I need a Jellyfin server?

Yes. You need access to a Jellyfin server with a music library. Sign in to that server in Shrimphony to start listening. Shrimphony does not host your server or provide a music catalog.

Does Shrimphony upload or sell my listening data?

No. Shrimphony connects your device directly to the Jellyfin server you choose. It has no Shrimphony account service, advertising trackers, or personal-data sales.

Can I listen without an internet connection?

Yes. You can download songs and collections to your device for offline playback.

Where can I use Shrimphony?

Shrimphony is designed for iOS and Android, with lock-screen and headphone controls. CarPlay and Android Auto integration are undergoing release testing.
